About the Artwork
A Lone Yurt After Fresh Snowfall
A single yurt sits on a flat of new snow, a thin line of smoke rising from its stovepipe. Behind it, a dark ridge climbs steeply, dusted white and half lost in low cloud. The only real colour is the yurt’s orange door, painted with a red pattern, and it pulls the eye straight to the middle of the frame.
This was taken in the Kok-Kiya Valley in Kyrgyzstan’s Naryn Region, on the way to Lake Kel-Suu.

- Scandinavian Spaces: Sits easily against white walls and pale wood.
- Warm Neutrals: Pair with rust or terracotta textiles to pick up the door.
- Gallery Walls: A quiet anchor next to busier colour prints.
