About the Artwork
Japan Shrine Print: Torii Gate and Fallen Autumn Leaves
A stone torii gate with a heavy twisted rope strung across it, and a flight of stone steps rising to the shrine behind. Yellow autumn leaves sit blurred in the foreground, which pulls your eye up through the gate towards the dark roof and trees beyond.
The light is soft and low, so the yellow leaves and the white curtains at the shrine entrance stand out against deep green foliage and grey stone. The palette is dark and warm, with just enough gold to lift it.

Styling & Interior Inspiration
-
Japandi & Natural Interiors: The dark greens and golden yellows suit natural wood, linen and matt black accents. A good fit for a quiet corner or the wall above a low sideboard.
-
Hallways & Landings: The portrait format and the strong vertical lines of the gate work well on a narrow wall or a stair landing.
-
Japan Pairings: Hangs well beside the Tokyo autumn skyline print for two very different Japanese autumn scenes, or browse more Asia prints.
