About the Artwork
Gdańsk Old Town, Poland: Sunset Over the Motława River
The merchant houses along GdaÅ„sk’s MotÅ‚awa waterfront are painted in deep reds, greens, and yellows, a legacy of the city’s medieval trading history. At sunset, the low light hits the facades directly, and the river below mirrors the scene.
A genuinely warm and colourful print. The saturated reds and warm sky tones reproduce well on lustre paper, and the doubling effect of the reflection adds visual depth without complicating the image.

Styling & Interior Inspiration
- Warm & Rich Colour Schemes: The deep reds and warm amber tones work well alongside terracotta, mustard, and burgundy interiors. A strong companion to rooms with rich upholstery or warm wood tones.
- Dining Rooms: The warmth of the image and the sense of an animated, lived-in place make it well-suited to dining spaces. Works at any size but earns its place at A3 or A2.
- European City Collections: Pairs well with other European cityscape prints. The warm tone contrasts naturally with cooler European landscape prints for a varied collection.
